Anne Bousquet grew up in a winegrowing family in Southwest France. Breaking with three generations of winemaking tradition, she opted to pursue a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics instead, and a successful career as an economist specializing in the paper packaging industry ensued. Anne, her husband Labid Al Ameri, together with their daughter Eva, moved from Brussels to tiny Tupungato, in Argentina’s Mendoza, in 2009 to manage Domaine Bousquet, the winery they co-founded with her father Jean in the late 1990s.
In 28 years, Domaine Bousquet has morphed from a pioneer’s dream in virgin territory into a thriving concern with 170 full time employees and wines sold in more than 60 countries. Today, Domaine Bousquet is the #1 organic and regenerative winery in Argentina. Anne’s commitment to sustainability is absolutely whole-hearted. She has steered the estate to become only the fourth winery in the world to achieve Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC™) in 2022, the same year they also achieved B Corp status. In 2024 they launched their first Sustainability Impact Report, in keeping with the winery’s commitment to transparency and accountability; this is updated annually.
Anne was also instrumental in establishing the first Greenhouse Gas Calculator for Latin America, which International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA) launched early in 2025.
